Firehouse Subs makes great sandwiches! They're located at McCarran's Marketplace on Eastern and Russell, near Oquendo. Inside is spacious with ample seating. Menu offers a great selection of cold and hot specialty subs, you can even build your own sub, and they have salads as well as gluten-free roll. They also have a touch screen soda machine with various options for soft drinks. I love Hook and Ladder (medium, $9.99) on toasted garlic bread roll (+$1.25), so delicious! It has smoked turkey breast, virginia honey ham, monterey jack, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, mayo, and deli mustard. For a medium sub, it's a big portion and very filling, also comes with a side of pickle. Service from Rick is welcoming, efficient, and friendly,
The restaurant was nice. It was pretty busy with the lunch rush, but the service still managed to be really fast as well as friendly. Not to mention the turkey bacon ranch sandwich that I ordered was made perfectly.
After doing some shopping at Walmart, I swung over to firehouse subs to get a quick bite because I couldn't remember if I'd ever tried it. Really clean establishment, friendly workers, and the soda machine had over 100 options! Ohhhh so good! I tried the hook and ladder but replaced regular mustard with the honey mustard. WOW! Sooooo warm and soft and juicy. I can't wait to go back and try more.
